This guide walks you through configuring an AI model so Jelly Studio can work properly.

## Model Recommendation

We recommend starting with DeepSeek models—they offer strong value for everyday use.

## Supported Models

Jelly Studio supports the following types of models:

- **DeepSeek**: the full model lineup (primary target for adaptation and testing).
- **Alibaba Cloud Tongyi Qianwen**: the Tongyi Qianwen model series.
- **Other models**: any model compatible with the OpenAI API can be used.

## Configuration Steps

Open the app, go to **Settings > Model**, and configure the parameters as shown below.

Runtime Variables Runtime Variables Runtime variables are used to manage private information, so you never write sensitive data directly into tool code or expose it to the LLM. What Are Runtime Variables When a tool needs sensitive information (such as API keys, account passwords, etc.), prefer runtime variables. Never type sensitive information directly into a conversation with the AI. You can also use runtime variables as a general configuration feature, making it easy to share settings across tools.
